Network Magazine: Article Guidelines

Thank you for contributing to our community magazine. Your stories help us bring people together and reflect the diversity of our readership.

To manage our printing costs—covered entirely by local advertising, which allows us to deliver the magazine free to your doorstep—we have set the following guidelines:

  • Half-Page Article: Up to 125 words
  • Full-Page Article: Up to 250 words

Including local photos, especially those depicting community members or familiar scenes, increases the likelihood of your article being published. We include logos in adverts, but not in the text of the magazine. We reserve the right to edit articles for length and clarity and may choose to publish your piece in a future issue to maintain content balance. If editorial changes are made to your article for any reason, we will where possible email you a proof copy for your approval, before going to press.

Please submit your article by 12:00 noon on the 20th of the month. This gives our editorial team enough time to compile and proofread the magazine, ensuring everything is polished before it goes to print. We like to allow 5 working days for printing to meet our deadline of delivering the magazine to our distribution team, who aim to have it in readers’ hands by the 1st.

Please note that opinions shared in articles are those of the contributors and do not necessarily reflect the views of our magazine.

Our editorial team has the final say on article placement and timing to help ensure that we represent our local communities effectively, maintain a balance of contributions and achieve the overall aims of the magazine, which are to inform, inspire, uplift, and foster a sense of connection and belonging for our readers.

We welcome contributions that help us in this mission – we look forward to your submissions and are excited to share your stories with our readers!
