Prayer is central to the life of our benefice

Prayer
As well as prayer being an integral part of our Sunday services in church we also have other opportunities to pray for others.

Prayer Chain
Prayer is such a privilege, to be able to talk to God and see answers to our prayers. There has been a' Prayer Chain' in our group of churches for many years. This consists of requests for prayer being circulated by a co-ordinator using email to those who undertake to pray for  people who are sick, or troubled in any way, or for circumstances or events. Those who are part of the prayer chain maintain strict confidentiality.

Prayer Breakfast
This is a gathering is on the first Saturday of the month at 7.30am held in different homes. We have prayer for our mission partners throughout the world and for our local community for about an hour then we share a cooked breakfast together.

Monday Prayer
Every Monday a small group of us have a time of prayer in St George's Church in Beckington at 12 noon for about 30mins, this is for local community but can include anyone in need.

Open Churches

St George's Church in Beckington, St Mary's Church on the Orchardleigh Estate and All Saints Church in Lullington are all open, offering a quiet sanctuary for prviate prayer. St George's has a special area just inside the front door with a prayer tree for your requests. We often pray these requests at the Monday Prayer meetings

In addition, All Saints Churchyard in Rodden is often regarded as a place of pilgrimage and offers a resting point for weary walkers to pause and sit in a beautiful peaceful setting.
